JERRY BALDOCK
Jerry Baldock (Special Contributor). Energy, Heart, Smile. Jerry is recognized
around Sisters Country for his smile, his cap, and his camera, but his contributions
for the betterment of the Sisters School District run far and wide. Jerry (with his
wife, Marlene) came to Sisters in 2008 and immediately made an impact. Jerry’s
mission was to make a difference in young people’s lives, all in memory of his son
Brian. Jerry has taken over 200,000 photos of students, coaches, parents, and
members of the community at thousands of SHS, SES, SMS, and other community
events, such as sporting events, graduations, plays, musicals, scholarship
celebrations, science fairs, showcases, and other special events. The photos are
available for purchase with all the net proceeds going to the Sisters School District.
He also has found time to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, earning the Sisters
Habitat 1000 Hour Award in 2020. Jerry also received the Sisters Chamber of
Commerce President’s Award in 2018. Professionally, Jerry has been lead
photographer for dozens of other events in Sisters since his arrival to Sisters,
including the Sisters Rodeo, Sisters Quilt Show, and the Sisters Rhythm & Blues
Festival. When Jerry sees a need, he attempts to fill it. Thus, Jerry was
instrumental in the founding of the Outlaw Booster Club and the Outlaw Hall of
Fame. Jerry and Marlene define what it means to be an Outlaw.
